Are you a fan of Nutella and vodka? Well have I got the liqueur recipe for you! It’s super easy to make which means you get to drink it in no time at all, and it also makes perfect gifts at Christmas for all your like minded Nutella and vodka friends!! This recipe was adapted from the blog The View from Great Island.
Ingredients
- 1 cup thickened cream
- 1 cup Nutella (or an alternative chocolate hazelnut spread)
- 1 cup vodka (no need to use an expensive bottle)
In a small saucepan on medium heat bring the cream to a simmer. Reduce the heat and add the Nutella. Mix until the Nutella and cream is silky and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir through the vodka and pour into a clean bottle and refrigerate. It is best if you leave it over night before drinking. Shake the bottle well before serving.
This recipe makes just under 1 litre (or 4 cups), so if you’re making this for gifts, you’ll need to repeat the process depending on how many people you need to make this for. This liqueur is lovely presented in flip top glass bottles tied with some beautiful ribbon.
As this recipe contains fresh cream, it will only last in the fridge for one to two weeks, depending on the cream expiration date. LOL who am I kidding, as if it’s going to last that long!!
Additional serving suggestions: pour over ice cream, or add to ice in a blender to make Nutella vodka slushies, or freeze it to make a semifreddo…yummy!
Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
